1% FOR THE PLANETMångata Lifestyle is donating 1% of all revenue to non-profits connected with 1% FOR THE PLANET. They are connected with over 3,000 non-profits committed to saving the planet.

1% FOR VETERANSMångata Lifestyle is also donating another 1% of all revenue to non-profits committed to helping US military veterans. There are currently over 500 non-profits committed to helping US military veterans.

Since industrial businesses do most of the planet's destruction, they should also be the ones responsible for funding most of the non-profits who are trying to reverse the damage. That is why Mångata Lifestyle is donating 2% of its revenue to registered non-profits. The business norm is to donate a small percentage of profits, but I have decided to donate revenue instead. I donate revenue because it ensures the non-profits get paid first. If donations are based on profit and the business has a bad year making zero profit, then the non-profits also don't receive a penny and that doesn't sit well with me. That is why Mangata is one of the rare businesses that donates based on revenue. Strong or weak economy the non-profits need to be properly funded.
According to the most recent data I could find on the internet the average large corporation donates just under 1% of its profit and the average small businesses donates 6% of its profit. With an average U.S. profit margin of 10%, Mångata Lifestyle donating 2% of revenue is equal to 20 times what the average large corporations donates and three times what the average small company donates. That is solid starting point but over time I am hoping to do even better. It is all part of my everybody wins philosophies for a better planet.
